Amzim's Exciting New Partnerships!

We've enjoyed plenty of success throughout the years we've been around. Now we'd like to give back to our community! Read more to find out about who we've partnered with!
Since 2012, Amzim Marine has been growing its presence, thanks to our talented and dedicated staff, our ability to tackle any repair job, and our amazing customers that have loyally stuck with us for all their boating needs. We’ve gone from a one man shop in a garage, to a 12,000 sq ft workshop and storage facility. Our mission is “To educate our clients on how to properly care for their boats, so they can have worry-free enjoyment of their hard earned investments, and to provide our services at a level to ensure that.” Our company has gained its reputation solely through word of mouth recommendations, and a steady stream of new Formula owners coming from our friends at Formula Boats South and other Formula dealers and owners. We’ve enjoyed a lot of triumphs and successes over the years, and we have the close knit boating community in Southwest Florida to thank for that. As such, we’d like to give back some to the community that put us on the map.
The Freedom Waters Foundation was founded by Debra Frenkel and John Weller in 2006 in an effort to bring the joy of boating and being out on the water to people who would be unable to do so on their own. FWF is a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic boat excursions for individuals and families coping with a variety of disabilities and special needs. Their Mission Statement is: “Enhancing lives by providing boating opportunities and marine activities for people with disabilities, life threatening illnesses, youth at risk, others with special needs, and veterans.” In the short time they’ve been around, they’ve managed to serve over 3,000 people falling under those categories each year. They’re headquartered here in Naples, with a satellite office in Ft. Lauderdale. They organize everything from small groups to large gatherings involving recreational activities like fishing tournaments for at-risk youth, to teaching people with disabilities how to sail to the best of their ability. We believe that their mission and ours coincide beautifully.
Valerie’s House is another charitable organization opened its doors in Fort Myers in 2016. Angela Melvin founded and named the organization in memory of her mother, who was killed in a car accident in 1987. She never forgot the pain of losing a beloved parent and wishes that she could have connected with other children in similar situations at that time. So that is just what she did; she created a space where “…children will know other children like them, heal together and learn loss doesn't have to limit their dreams.” Their mission is “to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives.” 1 in 14 people living in Florida will suffer the loss of a parent or sibling before the age of 20, and they provide a space and tools to help their family heal. In our opinion, this is an organization that is definitely worth supporting.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve met with the wonderful folks at Freedom Waters Foundation to come up with ways that Amzim Marine can partner with them. After much deliberation about scheduling and logistics, we are thrilled to announce that we are going to collaborate with them to create a fun event for the children and families that Valerie’s House supports. In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing more details about the event, the timing, and what we will need from our customers. We’re excited to be partnered with such great organizations, and we look forward to working with them in the future!
