There are some big changes coming this holiday season, and we wanted you to be in the know!
While the holiday season is typically lauded for being a time of great joy and good tidings, for some families (let’s be honest, pretty much all families) it can mean a great deal of impending stress. In-laws grate on nerves, kids voices take on an extra high-pitched squeal in excitement, and the phrase “Don’t worry, it’s only going to be a week, and it’ll all be over” is thrown around with increasing regularity to exasperated spouses all over the US. In Florida specifically, the natives bemoan the exodus of northern “Snowbirds” flooding our highways or being unaware of traffic rules. We don’t have to tell you about it, we’re sure that you’re already experiencing it (Sorry…). We’re here for you. In fact, we wanted to take some time to let you know that we’re planning on being here for a long time to come; just not at the same address.

We’re moving shops, and shifting our focus. Our new location will be right down the road, still conveniently located right off 951 & Davis Boulevard at 3945 Tollhouse Drive, Suite 919 (formerly Ruffing Marine Diesel). While the new shop is going to be a bit smaller, we’ll still be able to service your boat with no reduction in quality or scope of job that we can tackle. We’re still a one stop shop for all your boating needs. The only difference is, we will no longer be offering boat storage services in this new space. While this news may come as a shock, fear not! Without the logistically taxing process of intake and outflow of boat storage, we can get back down to what we really LOVE doing: fixing boats. The logistics of storing boats can be a nightmare: hauling boats from ramps, taking them off trailers, finding space, and putting them on blocks and stands takes multiple people at least 2 hours just to remove 1 boat (and that is if it is readily accessible and not buried behind other boats). By saving that time, we will be more available to get to your boat where it lives and get it working without the hassle and expense of hauling it. This is where our shift in focus will be; we’ll be dedicated to getting our Technicians out of the shop and onto your boat. For those jobs that do require the boat to be hauled out of the water (gear lube changes, through hull fittings, etc), have no fear, we will still have plenty of space for your boat in our new shop!

In addition to our fully certified Technicians working on the mechanical, electronic, and structure of the boats, we’re also moving our sister company; Naples Canvas & Upholstery. With a dedicated area specifically geared to sitting down and discussing ideas and comparing samples, and plenty of space to work, they’re prepared to tackle any canvas or upholstery job with relative ease! With a comprehensive gallery of fabrics, foams, and fittings, you can rest assured that they have what you need to create a custom solution for you. In addition to patterning and fabricating any kind of cover, enclosure, or awning, Naples Canvas & Upholstery has recently acquired a pipe-bender, so they can make entire bimini tops for your boat.

We’re very excited about this move, and the positive changes that it will bring. We think that we’ll be better suited to meet your needs and schedule in this new shop! If you have any questions about our new location, please feel free to give us a call at (239)228-6713 or send an email to chris@amzim.net! We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with the highest level of service, and wish you all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
